General note "Las cartas conservadas de la correspondencia entre Cosima Wagner y Friedrich Nietzsche han sido traducidas a partir de la edición alemana de la Correspondencia de Nietzsche, edición crítica de Giorgio Colli y Mazzino Montinari, y sus sucesores, publicada como Friedrich Nietzsche, Briefwechsel. Kritische Gesamtausgabe, Berlín/Nueva York: Walter de Gruyter, 1975 ss. De esta edición, que citamos como KGB, han sido utilizados para la presente traducción los volúmenes: II/2: Cartas a Nietzsche, abril 1869-mayo 1872 (1977); II/4: Cartas a Nietzsche, mayo 1872-diciembre 1874 (1978); II/6.1: Cartas a Nietzsche, enero 1875-agosto 1877 (1980) ... Para las escasas cartas que se conservan de Nietzsche, dirigidas a Cosima Wagner, junto a borradores y esbozos de cartas, hemos utilizado también la edición Friedrich Nietzsche, Sämtliche Briefe. Kritische Studienausgabe in 8 Bänden, ed. de G. Colli y M. Montinari, Múnich: Walter de Gruyter, 1986, en la que se recogen solo las cartas de Nietzsche... En cuanto a los Diarios de Cosima, seguimos la primera edición que se publicó en dos volúmenes, una vez solucionados los conflictos familiares entre los descendientes: Cosima Wagner, Die Tagebücher, 2 vols., ed. y com. de Martin Gregor-Dellin y Dietrich Mack, Múnich/Zúrich: Piper, vol. I (1869-1877); vol. II (1878-1883)." (page 49)
